The last month has brought some fantastic recognition for the work we do in making audio drama.
First our drama “The Gathering” by writer Lewis Carter was announced as a selection for the UK international radio drama festival where it was heard alongside dramas from around the world. Whilst it didn’t win the main prize which went to a brilliant drama by the Polish Radio Theatre, it was an incredible experience to spend time alongside other audio drama creators and to listen to their work (with handy translations provided)

Also this month, the theme music I wrote for the Scandinavian science-fiction drama “Chaika”, by Karin Heimdahl of Y2K productions won a prestigious AudioVerse award. The AudioVerse awards are sometimes described as the Oscars of audio drama and whilst Alternative Stories actors and productions had been nominated for them previously, we hadn’t actually won one until now. I’m hugely indebted to Karin and her team for asking me to compose the theme and very proud to be working on such a fantastic drama which also scooped an award for best supporting actress awarded to Charlotte Norup
